Bakers Lounge

In India, sweets, or "mithais," hold significant cultural importance, symbolizing celebration and auspicious events. Traditionally, sweet shops have featured conventional designs with standard display shelves and dining areas. Bakers Lounge sought to redefine this norm by creating a space that blends the charm of a French bistro with the elegance of an English patisserie, offering a unique retail experience.

Studio Ardete aimed to craft a minimalist yet impactful aesthetic, accommodating high footfall, especially during festive seasons. The design features art deco-inspired arches with chequered soffits, monochromatic flooring, and pastel blush ceilings. Suspended bulb light fixtures form inverted arches, contributing to a vintage ambiance, while metallic gold accents add a touch of sophistication.

This project exemplifies Studio Ardete's innovative approach to redefining traditional retail spaces, creating an environment that transcends sensory barriers and offers an unparalleled experience to its visitors.
